Mashin, Vincent #2 (22 MAY 1869 - 18 FEB 1948)

 

Funeral services for Vincent Mashin, 78, town of Pine Valley (Clark Co., Wis.), were held at the funeral home at Neillsville Saturday, Feb. 21st, Rev. Samuel D. Robbins, pastor of the Congregational Church, officiating; burial was in Mentor Cemetery.  Mr. Mashin died quite suddenly at 8 o’clock Wednesday evening, Feb. 18, 1948, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Orin Eastman, where he made his home.

 

He was born in Czechoslovakia, May 22, 1869, where he received his early education.  He lived for a time in Vienna, Austria, and came to the United States when 21, and worked at railroading in Chicago.

 

He was married to Mary Manhul Feb. 5, 1894 in Chicago.  They resided in Chicago until 1904, when they moved to Clark County, settling on a farm in the town of Mentor.  He lived on the frm until the death of his wife in 1932, when he sold the farm and has since made his home with the daughter.  He has been a resident of Clark County 44 years.

 

Surviving are four children and six grandchildren.  Besides Mrs. Eastman are three sons, George and Albert Mashin of Neillsville, and Edward Mashing of Humbird.  Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
