Dergance, Rosella (04 OCT 1922-05 JULY 2011)

 

Rosella H. Dergance, 88, Neillsville, died on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at the Marshfield Care Center. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, July 7, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Greenwood. Rev. Curt Rohland officiated. Burial was held at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Eagle, on Friday, July 8.

 

Rosella Hazel Severson was born on Oct. 4, 1922, in Blanchardville, the daughter of Ben and Helen 9nee Moe) Severson. When she was a small child, her family moved to Greenwood, where she was raised and received her education. After completing her schooling, she worked in the Greenwood area doing housekeeping. She married Edwin John Dergance on March 14, 1942, in Greenwood. They moved to Chicago for a short time, where she worked in a toy factory making doll houses. They moved to Willard in 1943 and bought a farm. She worked on the farm with her husband until retiring in 1983 and moving to Christie. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and had many interests, but especially loved spending time with her family, gardening, baking and quilting.

 

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Edwin, Christie; two daughters, Shirley (James) Juul, Lake Bluff, Ill., and Carol Shebesta, Mukwonago; four grandchildren; four sisters, Irene Bombach, Willard, Ruth Stroud, Pardeeville, Dorothy (Duane) Miller, Marshfield, and Shirley (Ronald) Schardt, Shullsburg; a brother-in-law, Edward Truckel, Greenwood; a sister-in-law, Virginia Severson, Marshfield; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Darlene Trunkel; and two brothers, Bernard Severson and Robert Severson.
