Wolf, Charles (26 FEB 1960-23 JULY 2011)
Charles "Chuck" Wolf, 51, Spencer, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. A memorial service will be held ay 5:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Spencer. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m., until the service at the funeral home on Aug. 2.
Charles Wolf was born on Feb. 26, 1960, in Marathon County, the son of Dennis and Ruth (nee Kaphaem) Wolf. He was a graduate of Wausau East High School and North Central Technical College, earning an associate degree in accounting and marketing. On Oct. 5, 1985, he married Julie Kramer. He worked for Combined Insurance, Philips Distributing, Wausau, Rent-A-Center in Phoenix, Ariz., Miller Distributing Center in Spencer, and was currently employed with the Colby School District.
He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, reading, Horseshoes, and sports. He was an avid Packer and Brewer fan. He will always be remembered for his participation in coaching Special Olympics basketball and for earning coach of the year honors in 2009.
Survivors include his wife, Julie, Spencer; two children, USMC Cpl. Dennis Wolf, Spencer, and Emily Wolf, Spencer; his father and step-mother, Dennis and Rose Wolf, Wausau; one brother, Jeff (Sandy) Wolf, Mosinee; one sister, Denise (Mark) Maurisak, Merrill; a step-brother, Kurt (Syndi) Schuster; nine nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. He will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Wolf, and a brother, Kim Wolf.
Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Chuck’s honor are encouraged to do so to Special Olympics Area 2.
The family would like to express their thanks to the Ministry Marshfield Clinic CCU staff for their professionalism and care given to Chuck. Also, a special thank you to Tom Springob for all his support.
Chuck was proud to give the gift of life by being an organ and tissue donor.
