Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Neuhaus of the town of Colby, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Sunday, September 6th.
A find supper was served to a large number of relatives and friends at the farm home at five o’clock and at eight o’clock services were conducted by the Rev. Hartman at the German Reformed church in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Neuhaus.
The church was prettily decorated with streamer of gold and lavender crepe paper and baskets of olden red and golden glow.
Mr. and Mrs. Neuhaus are the parents of sixteen children, two of whom are dead. All the children were present at the services.
Those from out of town who were here were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Stolzman and family and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Oehllrich and family of Cleveland, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Miller and family of Sheboygan Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Neuhaus and family of Chicago, Mrs. Mary Burkhardt of Kiel, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bishoff and family of Sheboygan and Mrs. and Mrs. Wm. Strauss of Manitowoc.
