SERIOUS ACCIDENT NEAR CURTISS
A serious accident occurred two miles west of Curtiss on Highway 29 early Tuesday morning when an auto bearing a Minnesota license ran into a culvert on the left side of the road.
Mrs. Anton Dubinski of Hollingforth, Minn., was instantly killed. Her daughter Helen, 15, has her left leg injured so that was necessary to amputate it. Two sons, Emil and Philip had fractures of the skull. They received treatment at the Owen hospital.
The driver, Leo Litchy, a friend of the girl was thought to have been asleep at the time of the accident. He was not seriously injured.
That particular stretch of the road from the Curtiss corner to the scene of the accident, seems to be an "unlucky" piece of road, as several bad accidents have occurred there in the past couple of years.
