Dickie, Edwin E. (25 SEP 1887 - 26 NOV 1948)
Edwin Eldon Dickie passed away in the Krohn Hospital Friday, Nov. 26, 1948, at the age of 61 years. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery, Black River Falls, Monday Nov. 29, 1948. Masonic services were conducted from the Masonic Temple in that city, following a prayer by the Rev. M.B. Ferguson of Augusta.
Mr. Dickie was born Sept. 25, 1887 to the late Rosa Jane and Eldon Dickie of Black River Falls. He was first married April 17, 1912, in Eau Claire, to Miss Lean Samdahl, who passed away Feb. 3, 1938. One son, Philip R., was born to this union. On Oct. 11, 1941, he married Mrs. Minnie Escher of Humbird (Clark Co., Wis.).
He was a graduate of the Black River Falls High School, of the class of 1904. Following graduation he was employed in that city, and in 1905 he worked in the Great Northern railroad office in Enderline, N.D. He spent the years 1906 to 1912 in construction, lumbering, telephone and electric power line projects in various parts of Wisconsin. In December 1912 he located in Fairchild, as signal maintainer for the Omaha Railroad, and remained in that capacity until early November of this year, when illness caused him to enter the hospital.
He was a member and past master of the Masonic Lodge of Fairchild, the International Electrical Workers Union, and in past years had served as president of the village of Fairchild.
Surviving are his wife; a sister, Ethel Dickie of Madison; his son, Philip R. Dickie, daughter-in-law, Viola Dickie, and granddaughter, Barbara Jean of Rhinelander; a stepson, Vaughn Escher of Mason City, Iowa; and a step-daughter, Velva Putman of Pasco, Wash.

Horeb; Mrs. Emma Lucksinger, New Glarus, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Zimmerman, Monticello; Sidney Harmer, Duluth; James Harmer, Elk Mound.
