Horton, Clyde K. (1908 - 23 DEC 1948)
Burial services were held in Mentor Cemetery last Sunday afternoon for Clyde K. Horton of Eau Claire. Mr. Horton passed away at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire last Thursday morning at the age of 40 years. The family formerly lived on a farm near Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.). He is survived by his wife, Rose, a son Robert, his father, V. H. Horton, of Altoona, and a sister, Mrs. Floyd Hagle of Neillsville. Funeral services were held in the Prock & Sons Funeral Home in Eau Claire at 1:00 o’clock Sunday afternoon, the Rev. Geo. W. Hohmann officiating. The pastor used as the subject of his sermon, "Remembering the Creator," from the text Eccl. 12:1. "Rock of Ages" and "Abide with Me" were sung by the soloist at the funeral home. The remains were brought here for interment.
