Foemmel’s Corners (1 April 1910)
Mesdames John Breese and Truman Davis visited the formers sister Mrs. Hayden last week Thursday.
Grandpa Nonhof came last week Thursday to make his home here with his son Alvin.
Mr. Derby of Loyal drilled a well last week for Truman Davis and one this week for Emil Krause.
Helen Crego and Shirley Knorr came Friday evening and stayed until Monday with Jennie Ackerman.
Mr. and Mrs. John Breese, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hayden spent Sunday at Truman Davis’.
Hale Davis, Leonard and Victor Cole drove through here on their way to Hein.
W. D. Rose and family, Willis Williams and family and Herman Roehl and family were over to Ed Ackerman’s Saturday evening to get sweetened up.
DeWitt Curtis and Arthur Gardner are plastering the cheese factory this week.
Farmers are busy everywhere. Some are dragging while others are seeding.
Adolph Foemmel moved his bees over on his place one day last week.
Mrs. John Pietenpol was confined to her bed last week Thursday with a pain in her left side.
Harry Cattanach and Emil Krause went fishing last week Thursday.
What’s the reason Granton can’t have a grist mill? Some of the farmers are running all around trying to get some one to grind his feed. One man is using his engine to saw wood, another has to put in his crops, and so it goes.
Truman Davis has a second hand De Laval Separator of 450 lbs capacity for sale cheap.
