Chili (1 April 1910)
The early spring unprecedented in many years gives many farmers a chance to do some of the seeding in the month of March.
Caucus was held at the town hall Monday night and regular ticket nominated. We understand there will be opposition.
Mrs. Otto Walter and Miss Thelma Walter made a trip to Marshfield with horse and buggy, returning safely without accident the same evening.
Aug. Prust is remodeling Herman Henning’s old store into a barber shop which will be occupied by Tom Gibson, its new owner.
Ed Oens bought a horse from Geo. Lye, and Al Snow also bought a horse from one of the Tomas boys. They were horses, only with this difference that the one brought $100 more than the other.
The Richard Downer and L. M. Smith farms were sold last week to Richland County parties.
Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Davis and little daughter from near Greenwood were guests at Chas. Fenske’s Monday.
Lyle Webster is home after spending the last two years in Montana.
Minnie Roger and Anna Fenske who have been working at Marshfield came home to stay, Saturday.
