Hoover, Victor Clarence (1903 - April 1910)
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hoover of Wausau were called upon to mourn the loss of their near seven year old son Victor Clarence who died last week Thursday from the after-effects of scarlet fever. The little fellow was a victim of the epidemic of this dread disease which is at present raging in that city, having taken ill about 7 weeks ago.
During his entire illness he was the most patient sufferer, and he had fair chance of recovery had it not been for diphtheria which set in several days before his death and which weakened his heart very much, the end finally being due to heart failure. Victor was an unusually bright and loveable boy and a great comfort to his parents who have the sympathy of their many friends here. The remains were brought to Neillsville and buried in the family lot there last Saturday.
Another little one has gone,
With angels to be blest;
Gone from earth to heaven,
Where all is eternal rest.
We should not weep for God is just;
He doeth all things well;
Though he has taken our only son
Above with angels to dwell.
