Chili (15 April 1910)

Louis Lindow bought the 20 acres with the kiln, of Louis Briant.  Jake Henning had bargained for it, but he backed out.

Chas. Lindow will soon be a citizen of Chili and move into the Downer-Bosselman-Fulwiler-Harriman house.

Miss Thelma Walter and Mrs. Miller made a trip to Marshfield Monday afternoon.

The wreck near Marshfield on the Omaha R. R. caused quite a little disturbance for the passenger service.  It was very fortunate that he extra engine went over the road before the limited.  There certainly would have been a great loss of life.

H. KIoser and Dr. Schwarz have gone into the piano business, receiving their first supply of pianos and organs this week.

The party who borrowed the woven wire stretcher of H. Degener is requested to return same at once.

H. Ketel put up the foundation and base for the upright street lamp.  He does quite creditable work.

A car of new salt in barrels and sacks received at Degener’s.  Come and get it while it lasts, it is a good grade.

Herman Henning transacted business at Granton, Monday.

Herman Koser bought a work horse of George Rose of Granton late last week.
