Chili (6 May 1910)
The play given by the Granton High School Friday night was quite a success in its kind. The acting was quite natural and the singing between acts was very fine, and enjoyed by a large crowd.
A few more late night frosts helped to kill some more grass hoppers and also some other things.
Chas. Lindow laid off a few days and had Edwin Happe, his substitute, carry mail.
Mrs. L. A. Reichert who has been away on a several days visit returned Tuesday afternoon.
Anna Fenske is helping Mrs. J. Hall in her housework. How do you like this Herman?
Agnes Harriman is visiting with her mother Mrs. G. Waterman at present.
H. E. Williams and Al Snow shipped a car of calves from here Tuesday.
A. Martens has engaged August Prust to build a new porch on the west end of his residence. This will be quite an improvement to the place.
Jason Phillips has Ike Rogers at work fixing up his house and painting it. The house will look like a new one after Ike has his job finished.
Albert Degener will load a carload of potatoes the first part of next week, Monday, Tuesday and perhaps Wednesday.
Dan Brooks is loading logs here at Chili for the Roddis Veneer Company. It will be only a matter of a few days more until he has the job finished.
Leave your order for a good Kurtzmann Piano at the music store.
