Heathville (3 June 1910)

What’s the use of living unless you enjoy it.  Come to Knoll’s granary next Saturday night and shake your feet.  A free dance will be give by the above mentioned and music will be furnished by Latamore and Jordan.

All aleman left and shake your feet,
Pass right on and swing with Peter.

Up and down as you are,

Turn about with faces to the bar.

Pass right back with a double hokkie on,

Turn about and then kiss John.

Don’t you think this is the way,

If you can’t do that, you know where you can stay.

If it takes Monts Eibergen an hour and a half to walk from the pump handle to the cow barn, how long would it take him to make love to a young girl?  Perhaps a life time!

Delbert Latamore made a business trip to La Crosse last week.

Wm. Zorn will commence work on his silo next week.

Hiram Stafford was plowing corn for W. W. Smith last week.

The Decoration Day program was well planned by the Chili people and ended successfully.  Hurrah for Chili, but they haven’t made any banking houses as yet.  Dick Fenske is their only cashier in sight.
