York Center (3 June 1910)

 

Mrs. Fanny Krejci and baby returned to their home Thursday.  She had been staying with her sister, Mrs. Maggie Parrett where the baby was taken sick with pneumonia.

 

Mrs. Belle McKenzie closed school in District No. 2.  The scholars rendered a program.

 

John Lastofka raised the addition to his barn last week Wednesday.

 

E. E. Fulwiler of Loyal and Mrs. Geo. Rowe of Marshfield were here Sunday to see their father who is sick.

 

Between the frosts, crows and cut worms, corn has a rather a slim show.

 

Dewitt Curtiss is plastering the interior of Dr. Ross’ office at Granton.

 

I desire to announce my candidacy for sheriff of Clark County upon the Republican ticket, subject to the will of the voters at the primary election next fall.  Should I be elected I will fulfill the duties of the office in the careful way that I did when I was sheriff two years ago.  Sol F.
