Preston, Peter J. (2 August 1940 - 31 July 2011)

Peter J. Preston, age 70, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen, WI.  Peter was born August 2, 1940, in Chippewa County, the son of Clare & Helene (Daniels) Preston.  He lived for many years in the Thorp area, and more recently, in Greenwood.  He was a faithful member of the Abundant Life Pentecostal Church in Thorp.  He enjoyed spending his time fishing, drawing and sending home-made cards on every occasion.

Peter is survived by his sister, Mary Ellen Phillippi of Baldwin; and brothers: Joseph Preston of Muscatine, IA, Timothy Preston of Sulphur, LA, and Jeremy Preston of Eau Claire.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers: Daniel and John Preston.

Services were held on Thursday, August 4, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at the Abundant Life Pentecostal Church in Thorp with Pastor John Sindler officiating.  Burial followed in the First Apostolic Cemetery, Taylor County. Friends and family called from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
