LIVESTOCK SHIPPERS OF TWO COUNTIES CONSOLIDATE

Final steps in the merger of the Atwood, Colby, Spencer and Riplinger Livestock Shipping associations under the name of the Central Cooperative Livestock Shipping association, with headquarters in Colby, were taken Saturday evening at a meeting of directors of the four groups, held in Riplinger.

Richard Wiedemann, president of the Colby association, presided and W. J. Cammers, of the Atwood group was secretary.

The merger followed several preliminary meeting conducted by Marathon and Clark county agricultural agents, and at which the advantages of consolidation were stresses. Later individual groups met and voted on the proposition.

No dissenting vote was recorded at the meeting Saturday night, and articles of incorporation are being prepared for filing.
