Lynn (24 June 1910)

An audience that completely filled the park pavilion gathered last Friday evening to see the program given by the school under the instructions of the teacher, Miss Anita Bruley. The entertainment was the best ever given in this place. The teacher and scholars are worthy of the praise for the work they did. It was a splendid success from beginning to end. Every drill and song was in perfect harmony with the music, from the smallest tot to the largest scholar.  Each pupil showed he effects of careful training and delivered their parts with perfect self-possession.  The "Joke on the toy maker" was full of mirth, each child representing different nationalities in characters, speech and dress, was rendered in a most pleasing manner and was more then pleasing to the audience and called forth a round of applause.  Miss Bruley and her scholars are to be congratulated upon this successful entertainment.

The Misses Freda and Lydia Beil after several weeks visit with their brother, A. W. Beil returned to their home at Potters Monday morning.

Mrs. Jake Breseman gave a feather bee to a number of her friends last week Thursday.  Ice cream and a bounteous supper was served.

Miss Nettie Couburn entertained the Carnation Club Wednesday of last week.

Miss Paulina Thiel of Potters visited her cousin A. W. Beil and family this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Ure and John Ure attended the funeral of B. F. Fraser at Loyal Saturday.

Max Opelt and daughter Lillie returned from their trip to St. Louis, Chicago and other places.

Pearl Tilton of Lindsey transacted business at this place Tuesday.

A large number from Neillsville, Lindsey and Granton came to see the school entertainment.

The 4^th of July will be celebrated at the park again this year.

A baseball game between Spencer and Lynn will be played next Sunday afternoon at the grounds here.

Miss Louise Wagner of Marshfield is the guest of Laura Neitzel.
