Wm. Vandeberg has sold his farm to a Mr. Demming of Stevens Point, who will take possession at once.

Miss Alma Happe has resumed her studies at the Marshfield High School after enjoying a good vacation.

Mr. Rueth came up from Sun Prairie Sunday, disposed of a carload of cattle to a southern buyer and returned home Monday.

Norm Kidd drove a herd of yearling to Loyal last week that are hard to beat, averaging better than 600 pounds apiece.

With no serious drawbacks there will be a young man in a few years in this neighborhood who will command a good share of everyone’s attention.  Born to Mr. and Mrs. Marion Carter, an 8 lb. boy, Monday morning.

Sherman and Gordon Davis were cranberrying several days at City Point in company with several Grantonites.

Mr. and Mrs. John Smith left Wed. for the southern part of the state for a short visit before going north were they will reside in the future.

Wm. Harriman, brother of Mrs. Geo. Drake, has returned after a year’s visit in New York and Pennsylvania.

Probably the smartest old man in this country is Mr. Geo. Leonard of Spokeville, a man upwards of eighty years of age and has the twinkle of a school boy in his eye and the grip of a young man in his hand.  Mr. Leonard walked 6 ½ miles Monday with no apparent inconvenience for a day’s visit with Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Heath, who are old friends and neighbors.

The ladies of this place surprise Mrs. Sherman Davis, Monday, by gathering there in numbers to put together a quilt in honor of her birthday.

Henry Erhardt is up from Lynn to finish the carpenter work on Schmidtke’s house.  He will have as comfortable a little farm house as could be wished for when completed.

Mrs. Magadlen Wood is here to care for her sister, mrs. Carter.

Walter Sutherland lost a horse with Catarrh in the head.

Will carpenter is getting to be a professional tumbler.
