Max Opelt drove to Loyal Tuesday with traveling man Franks.
Theodore Yankee and family, County Clerk of Ashland Co., returned home to Ashland the first of the week, after a number of weeks visit here with relative and friends.
Mrs. Henry Marg attended the funeral of her cousin in the Lautenbach family last week.
Albert Marg is moving on his father’s place this week, where he will take possession for some time.
Frankie and Beatrice Brooks have returned to Neillsville to ake up their studies in high school. They came over last Friday to spend Saturday and Sunday at home. Little Doris Hart came with them for a short visit.
Mrs. R.T. Washburn and daughter Hazel visited friends in Grand Rapids last week.
P. Gaden and family visited with his brother at Tay, Saturday and Sunday.
Antone Hogenson went ot Black River Falls to visit relatives last week.
John Martin took a load of cheese to Marshfield for O.W. Becker last week.
Those who attended the Marshfield fair from here, as near as the writer could learn, were Mr. and Mrs. H.B. Holmes, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Brooks, Mr. and Mrs. J. Tremmeling, Etta Altenburg, Willie Gaden, Drents Montag, Geo. Ure, henry Williams, Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Brooks, Elsie and Clark Brooks.
Mrs. F.A. Downing of Dexterville was the guest of Mrs. R.T. Washburn Tuesday and Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. P. Gaden and daughter Clara left Tuesday on the Milwaukee Road for La Crosse where they will take in the fair this week.
John P. Kintzele was a business caller here this week.
Max Opelt will give a grand dance in his park pavilion next Saturday, Sept. 30th. Everybody come and have a good time.
Mrs. R.T. Washburn and Mrs. F. A Downing were Neillsville callers Tuesday.
Bessie Sparks, who has been assisting Mrs. St. Germain returned to her home at Nevins last week. She will soon go to Grand Rapids to go to school.
School commenced the 18th of this months with John Rude of Neillsville as teacher.
Wm. And Walter Sternitzky were business callers in Granton this week, also T.F. Feldmaier.
Max Opelt put a new coat of paint on the building in his park.
Mrs. S.G. Hornbeck has taken up her music class here and makes weekly trips her on Thursday.
Max Opelt furnished and assisted in putting on a new steel roof on Henry Retzlof’s house last week.
C.W. Chubb has gone to Milwaukee and Chicago on a visit with relatives and friends.
Mike Finnerty is now conductor on the Lynn line, a run which he had several weeks ago.
