Chili (29 July 1910)
Fred Selk was a Granton caller between trains Wednesday.
H. H. Henning made a flying trip to Marshfield per auto Wednesday morning.
L. A. Reichert visited at Granton Monday between trains.
Mrs. A. Degener went to Neillsville Sunday morning, returning Monday afternoon. She attended the funeral of Mrs. Geo. Sontag which took place Sunday afternoon.
John Schafer finished the painting of the inside of the school house. He did the work in very nice shape, a credit to himself and to the school house.
Gustave Kaddatz, Geo. Selk and others went west to work in the harvest fields.
Emil Bosselmann spent his 5 days vacation here and looked after the interest of his farm.
Mrs. Frank Hemp, Mrs. Hans Walk, Mrs. Seidel with children, Miss Julia Tragsdorf and Mrs. Seidel’s sister-in-law visited with Degener’s Friday.
The business men’s association held their regular meeting Tuesday night.
Anton Hogenson has a new roof on his store building to keep out the rain. The old shingle roof was quite leaky. Albert Degener, August Prust and Herbert McNaul did the work. As it was done during the hottest days of week before last, it was attended with a large amount of perspiration.
