Rev. A.A. Sifert and wife drove over from Lindsey Friday to attend Epworth League.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Max Opelt Friday Oct. 5, a son weighing 9 pounds. Mrs. Opelt was taken very sick with an attack of heart trouble on Tuesday of this week. Dr. Schwarz of Granton was summoned.
Geo. Brooks and son Earl transacted business at Neillsville Friday, Beatrice and Frankie Brooks returning home with them for a short stay over Sat. and Sunday.
Mrs. Libbie Altenburg was shopping in Neillsville last Friday.
Mr. Henry of Tomah came to visit Dr. C.L. Schultz on Friday, but finding Dr. gone on his hunting trip he returned to Tomah the same day.
Miss Mable Brooks came home from Columbia to spend Sunday under the parental roof. She reports teaching school is just fine.
T.F. Lyons, editor of the Marshfield News was looking up business in town this week.
Ben Rondels of Marshfield was guest at P. Gaden’s Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. P. Gaden were Neillsville callers Monday.
Henry Erhardt was seen in town Sunday.
Chas. Gilman and lady from Neillsville took supper at the Gaden Hotel Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Brooks attended church at Neillsville Sunday.
Walter Sternitzky visited his brother Robert and wife at Junction City latter part of last week.
Mrs. Chas. Brooks of Granton visited with Mrs. E.F. Brooks last Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. T.F. Feldmaier were callers in Granton Sunday.
Mrs. Jos. Hoover of Neillsville is visiting friends in the town of Lynn this week.
There will be no dance at Lynn Park next Saturday, Oct. 14.
John Martin drove to Marshfield Monday with a load of cheese for O.W. Becker.
Clara Sholtz came up from Tomah Saturday, going to Nevins to see her little sister Minnie, who has been quite sick.
Mr. I. Shoudy of Rockford, Ill. and other land seekers boarded the Lynn train for Pittsville Tuesday. Mr. Shoudy also visited his sister Mrs. Stubbs and family while here.
Mrs. M. St. German spent Sunday with Mrs. Grassman, Elsie Grassman assisting Mrs. St. German with the children on Sunday.
Max Opelt started for Loyal Tuesday with traveling salesman Frank, he only getting as far as Spencer when a telephone message was handed him that his wife was sick, and he returned as soon as possible, not reaching Loyal that day.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Yankee were delightfully surprise Thursday when a large concourse of friends and relatives surprised them with a party in honor of their 30th wedding anniversary.
Wm. Gaden drove to Chili Thursday to take Mr. Loesler to the train.
Clara Sholtz of Nevins was calling on friends in town this week.
Mrs. Opelt, being no better Tuesday, Dr. Sols was called from Granton.
