Rev. and Mrs. Rathke were Neillsville visitors, Monday.
Mrs. F. J. Baer did abstract work at Neillsville Monday.
Ernest Stubbs left for Canada on Thursday.
P. J. Kemmeter went to Chicago on business, Sunday night.
Hilary Ross spent a few days late last week with friends at Neillsville.
Roy Hart went to Marshfield Saturday on a several days visit at Chas. Chapel’s.

Miss Adelaide Eastman of Seattle, Wash., arrived here Sunday on a several weeks visit to Mrs. Kearney Davis.
Mrs. Hank Pietenpol set out last Friday on a weeks visit between friends at Chili, Marshfield and Loyal.

Mr. and Mrs. Wella Beecher and baby returned home on Monday from an over Sunday visit at Stevens Point.
Miss Elsie Breseman and Rob Gotter returned on Monday from a several days visit at Richard Anding’s in Altoona.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Carlton and daughter Belle came over from Neillsville and spent Tuesday at Kearney Davis’.

Mrs. John Riedel has been somewhat indisposed with summer complaint. Mrs. Riedel is 86 years old.
A divorce decree was granted in Circuit Court last week in the action wherein Etta Stubbs was plaintiff vs. Ben Stubbs, defendant.

Jas. Rock, Thos. Kane and Phillip Gannon of Sheboygan County spent several days here last week, buying up horses.

Mrs. J. W. Lovell, Mrs. Chas. Brooks and baby went to Rice Lake Saturday to visit Dell Lovell and family.

Miss Hattie Viergutz returned to her work at Appleton, Monday, after a six weeks vacation at home.
Mrs. P. J. Kemmeter and children returned Tuesday from a several weeks outing at Detroit, Minn.
Chas. Mundt of Chili transacted business here Tuesday. He still wears the same old pleasant smile.
Dr. P. M. Ross accompanied Al Turner to Milwaukee last Monday where the latter will take treatments at the Sacred Heart Hospital.
Herman Kapelle and son Marvin of Plymouth arrived here Tuesday morning on a weeks visit at Henry Winter’s.
Mrs. L. G. Morris and children are at Heathville since Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Lee who are spending some time on their farm there.
Mrs. H. S. Perry and son Clarence after a week’s visit with Mr. Perry and other relatives here left for Norman Hart’s at Humbird Monday evening.
Rev. and Mrs. Riser with a dozen of his parish came out from Neillsville Tuesday and enjoyed a picnic dinner in the Ell Lee grove with Mrs. Laura Brown and her family.
Rob Tompkins came down from Rhinelander Tues. and Frank Tompkins came home from Minneapolis for a short visit under the parental roof.
Next Sunday evening at 7:30 o’clock the young People’s Society of Rev. Reiff’s parish will give an ice cream sociable at the school house. Everybody invited
Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Wonser and children, his sister, Mrs. Al Nonhof and son Glen autoed to Unity Saturday afternoon on a visit to relatives and returned home Sunday evening.
Editor Williamson of the Neillsville Times was here between trains Tuesday in the interest of the Clark County Fair Association of which he is secretary.
Mrs. F. J. Baer and daughter Helene left yesterday morning for Haugen, Wis., on a weeks outing with her brother C. D. Stockwell and family, at the lakes there.
Mr. and Mrs. Neil Downer went to Rhinelander Tuesday morning on a visit to relatives. From there they will go to Antigo where Neil will attend a meeting of the Wisconsin Ginseng Growers Association of which he is a member.
Mrs. Augusta Riedel and daughter Mrs. Wm. Reinhart went to Nasonville last week Thursday on a visit to relatives. Mrs. Reinhart returned on Monday while Mrs. Riedel remained for the balance of the week.
Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Knorr and daughter Shirley autoed to Waupaca late Sunday night where they were met by Mr. Knorr’s brother. From there they went to Chilton and Manitowoc to visit relatives. They expect to be gone about a week.
Bert Hicks completed cement walks in front of the News office, the entire block comprising the Knorr-Rausch hardware store, Geo. Hart general store, L. A. Marsh’s ice cream parlors and the Kearney Davis Barber shop and is now laying walks in front of the L. G. Morris and E. R. Wonser residences.
Judge O. W. Schoengarth and Gust Deutsch returned Monday evening from their fishing trip at Friendship, Adams County, for which place they left in the Judge’s auto last week. They were accompanied home by Chas Gilman, a former Neillsville boy, and a Mr. Galbreath, register of deeds of that county. The party brought home with them a pickerel of unusual size which the Judge caught in Wisconsin River.
Humbird Enterprise: Aug. F. Dankemyer, of the Town of Fremont, candidate for nomination for member of Assembly, and Geo. a. Ure, of Lynn, who is in the race for Clerk of the Court, were in town Thursday evening getting acquainted with our voters. Mr. Ure is well known in this part of the county, and is always warmly greeted. Mr. Dankemyer is a sound German farmer, who has helped to develop Clark County into one of the most prosperous ones of the state. He is a man of good judgment and business ability, and while here made many friends among the voters.
Norman Kidd, Homer Davis and loyal Jordan returned Tuesday morning from their fishing trip at Eagle River, in Vilas County. They had unusual good luck, brining home with them 102 pounds of elegant specimens, bass, pickerel and pike. While there they were the guests of Bob Thurston resort on Lake Buckatobanon, and before their return home they enjoyed a launch trip up the Eagle Chain of Lakes at the hospitality of their friend, Mr. Menefee, editor of the Eagle River News.
Theron Daughhetee, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Daughhetee met with a serious accident Tuesday forenoon. The little fellow was playing in his father’s barn and while climbing in the hayloft lost his footing and fell to the concrete floor below, a distance of about 10 feet. Myron Osgood who was at work near by putting up a silo heard the boy fall and rushed to his assistance, picked him up in an unconscious condition and carried him to the house. A physician was called and an examination showed that his shoulder bone was broken and the skull fractured. The little fellow did not regain consciousness until late in the evening. His condition is said to be critical.
