Lamont, Stella E. (12 AUG 1912 - 11 AUG 2011)
Stella E.
Lamont, 98, of Abbotsford, passed away Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, at
Abby Inn Care, Abbotsford. A private service will be held at a
later date.
Stella was born Aug. 12, 1912, in
Fond du Lac to Robert and Katherine (Steigenberger) Heppner. She
attended Frankfort Country School. Stella was united in marriage to
Malcolm Lamont in 1933. Stella and Malcolm owned and operated
Lamont's Service Station in Abbotsford and later Lamont's Service
in Colby which served the community for 75 years.
Stella was a member of St. Mary's
Catholic Church in Colby. She enjoyed crocheting, rosemaling, and
most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Stella is lovingly survived by her
daughter, Betty (Joe) Kremsreiter of Abbotsford; 10 grandchildren,
25 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren with
two more on the way. She is further survived by her
daughter-in-law, Darlene Lamont of Abbotsford; sister, Bernice
Hamilton of Barrington, Ill.; and brother, Robert "Butch" (Rhea)
Heppner of Maiden Rock.
Stella was preceded in death by her
parents; her husband, Malcolm; son, James Lamont; and sisters, Kay
Schraufnagel, Marie Halverson and Charlotte Borchardt.
Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home is
assisting the family with funeral
arrangements.
