Hinker, William D. (24 MAY 1951 - 6 AUG 2011)
WILLIAM D. HINKER, age 60, of Greenwood, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 6, 2011. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, August 19, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Greenwood, with Rev. Joseph Follmar officiating. Visitation will be held at the church, on Friday, from 10am until time of service.
William Dean Hinker was born on May
24, 1951 in Marshfield, WI, the son of Sylvester and Barbara (Pink)
Hinker. He was raised on the family farm and received his education
St. Mary's Parochial School and graduated from Greenwood High
School in 1969. Bill took over the operations of the family farm
from after the death of his father, and continued farming until
selling the land to Bushman Enterprises in the mid-1990's. He
continued to live on the farm and work for Bushman Enterprises
until 2004, at which time he went to work for Weather Shield, in
Greenwood, until its closing in 2009.
He had many interests, but
especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends,
particularly the Hinker family reunions on the home farm, and loved
deer and bear hunting, watching sports, bowling and playing
softball.
He will be dearly missed by his
siblings: JoAnn (Lester) Kaiser of Hewitt, Gene (Marilyn) Hinker of
Loyal, Ronald (Audrey) Hinker of Wausau, Francis (Corrine) Hinker
of Marshfield, Allen (Sandra) Hinker of Greenwood, Robert (Donna)
Hinker of Greenwood; three sisters-in-law: Marlene Hinker of
Greenwood, Sharon Hinker of Cape May, NJ, and Carolyn Hinker of
Greenwood; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
He was preceded in death by his
parents and three brothers: Larry, Jerry and Jim
Hinker.
