Max Opelt transacted business at Neillsville last Friday. 

 

Little Emma Smith fell and cut her face quite bad while playing at school last Wed.

 

Mrs. Henry Yankee left last Saturday for La Crosse where she will undergo an operation on her limb to remove a tumor of a cancerous nature.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Campbell of Neillsville were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. R. Brooks a part of last week.

 

Jos. Thompson of Valley Junction is visiting his brother Wm. Thompson.

 

Miss Etta Altenburg is visiting friends in Neillsville at this writing.

 

Rev. Alonzo Sifert of Lindsey will preach every Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock.  Everybody is invited to come and hear a good speaker.  Mrs. Sifert will accompany him and favor us with singing some fine solos.

 

Jack Beck of Warrens was an over Sunday guest of his sister Mrs. Wm. Thompson.

 

E.F. Brooks shipped two carloads of wood to Tomah this week.

 

W.J. Chandler transacted business at Neillsville last week, as did Wm. Yorkston.

 

Mr. and Mrs. P. Gaden and daughter Clara drove to Neillsville Saturday, Clara remaining over Sunday to attend church.

 

The stork visited Lynn on Sunday, the 22nd, leaving a baby boy with Mrs. Oxenider, who is a present the guest of her sister, Mrs. Albert Sternitzky.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Martin and daughters Ruby and Gertrude went to Neillsville Saturday to trade.

 

Wm. Tremelling from the southern part of this state is visiting at J. Temelling’s.

 

Mrs. Chas. Altenburg of Nasonville and children attended meeting here Sunday.

 

Max Opelt has improved his store with a new front door.  Henry Erhardt put it in last week.

 

Miss Clara Sholtz of Sherwood visited relatives here Saturday and Sunday, leaving for Tomah Monday where she will work this winter.

 

Fred Bullard of Neillsville was a caller here this week.

 

Miss Anna Yorkston has returned home from Nasonville.

 

J. Tremelling and wife were business callers at Neillsville this week.

 

Beatrice and Frankie Brooks spent Sunday at home, there father going after them on Friday at Neillsville.

 

Rev. Anderson of Marshfield whiled away a few hours here waiting for the train to go to Veekum.

 

Mrs. T.F. Feldmaier and Lizzie Klein went to Neillsville Tuesday.

 

Henry Yankee left for La Crosse Monday to join his wife, who is there undergoing an operation.

 

John Rude, the Lynn pedagogue, spent Sunday at his home in Neillsville.

 

New received here is that Albert Sholtz has a position at Tomahawk, Wis., as telegraph operator.  We are very glad to hear of his success so soon.

 

T. F. Feldmaier transacted business at Granton Wednesday.
