Jack Pribnow Escapes Serious Injury in Train Collision
Jack Pribnow, Colby, was taken to the Marshfield hospital Wednesday night following a collision with a switching engine at the Abbotsford crossing of the Soo line on Highway 29, about 8:30 p.m.
The trains were switching in the yards and the engine was backing across the crossing toward Colby, at the time Mr. Pribnow drove a car into the side of the engine. The signals on the crossing were working.
Mr. Pribnow was taken to the office of Dr. Shields for immediate treatment and then sent to Marshfield for further examination and X-rays to determine if there were broken bones, as none was visible. He suffered a cut knee and the car was badly damaged.
