Handt, Lizzie (8 NOV 1905)
At 1 o’clock P.M. Wednesday, at the German Lutheran Church, Rev. P.H. Hass united in the holy bonds of matrimony, Herman Schlinsog and Miss Lizzie Handt. The wedding was a very quiet, though pretty affair. The wedded pair was attended by August Schlinsog and Paul Handt, respective brothers of the groom and bride as groomsmen, and Miss Amanda Viergatz and Ann Schlinsog as bridesmaids, the latter a sister of the groom. The bride and bridesmaids were all beautifully and becomingly attired in blue while the gentlemen wore the regulation black. The groom is an industrious, worthy young man who through his own energy and industry has a fine farm in York, whither they went at once and began housekeeping. The bride, though little known to us, is a young lady of whom we have heard only words of praise and commendation. The News joins with their large circle of friends in wishing them a happy and prosperous wedded life.
