Rev. J.T. Bryan, the M.E. minister from York Center, was making professional calls here last week Wed.

 

Mrs. Willis Williams and Mrs. S.G. Hornbeck of Granton were very pleasant callers here Thursday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Fischer of Veefkind were business callers in town Friday.

 

Mrs. Bertha Downing and children Julia and Lottie of Dexterville were guests of Mrs. R.T. Washburn Friday and Saturday.

 

E.F. Brooks drove to Neillsville with a load of grain Sat.

 

Dr. C.L. Schultz returned from his trip at Iron River, Mich., where he has been hunting and trapping the past two months.  He reports the snow 10 inches deep with good sleighing, says he had a very enjoyable trip, as well as profitable.

 

Mose St. Germain returned home this week from East Grand Forks, N.D., where he has been employed as filer in a large mill the past summer.

 

Mrs. Magritz of Sheboygan, sister of Chas. Moths, was here to attend the Moths-Gotter wedding and also visited her friend and old school mate, Mrs. E.F. Brooks.

 

Those who were at Neillsville on business last week and this were Mr. and Mrs. H. Sternitzky and daughters Helen and Louvella, Dora and Berth Sternitzky and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sternitzky.

 

Geo. Ure went to Fremont the first of the week to inspect bridges.

 

Miss Martha Hankey and Ed Riedel were quietly married last week Wednesday at Neillsville. 

 

Mrs. Geo. Ure made some very pleasant calls on friends in town Saturday.

 

The infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Max Opelt, age 1 month, died Sat. morning.  The funeral was held at 1:30 p.m., Rev. Hass officiating.

 

Will J. Erwood of La Crosse gave lectures Tuesday and Thursday on spiritualism.
