Kjorstad, Agnes (1 Jul 1914)
Yesterday morning at 10 o’clock the marriage of Miss Agnes Kjorstad and Mr. Emil Ruhstad occurred at the home of the bride’s parents on North Hewett Street. The ceremony was performed by Rev. W.A. Geire of Spring Valley, Minn., who was a former minister at Black River Falls. The attending couple were Miss Mary Peterson of Warrens and Mr. Ingwaldson of Lanesboro, Minn. At the conclusion of the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Ruhstad left in their auto for a brief wedding trip, at the conclusion of which they will go to Lanesboro, Minn., to take up their residence. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Kjorstad and while not having a wide acquaintance in this city, owing to her brief residence, has impressed all who know her with her pleasant disposition and winsome manner. For several years she has taught art in the public schools at Ft. Wayne, Indiana, where her school work met with general commendation from the patrons. Mr. Ruhstad is a Black River Falls boy, but is now a professor in agriculture at Lanesboro, Minn. He is not much acquainted here, but the most favorable reports of his character and many sterling qualities have come here from his former home. Among those who were here to attend the wedding were Harry Kjorstad of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Ruhstad of Black River Falls, and Mrs. Martin Lien and daughter of Black River Falls.
