Mrs. H.V. Kemery of Marshfield was the guest of Mrs. Philena Kemery here last Friday.

 

Mrs. John Wolff has so far recovered from her recent severe illness as to have been up town doing her Christmas shopping this week, and to have been in attendance at the Mrs. John D. Stannard birthday party last Friday.

 

Mrs. J.D. Stannard celebrated a birthday anniversary last Friday and entertained a goodly number of lady friends at a delightful 6 o’clock dinner.

 

Jesse Lowe sold a considerable tract of land consisting of 200 acres, located in the town of Seif, to Oscar Fricke on Saturday.

 

Bert Dresden made a business trip to Merrillan Saturday evening.  Bert is running a first class $1.00 a day hotel.  He is a genial host and with his house equipped with all the modern improvements in vogue here in the city, guests find it advantageous to stop there.

 

Mrs. Floyd Flynn of Marshfield was a guest at the C.R. Sturdevant home last Friday.

 

Photographer A.H. Delane knows what busy means.  The holiday rush has been phenomenal.

 

Mrs. Abe DeMunck of Plymouth, who has been here for some time past visiting her sister Mrs. John Wolff, returned home on Tuesday.

 

Mrs. Oscar Fricke and daughter Zura spent Friday and Saturday at Greenwood.

 

Mrs. Will Neff underwent a surgical operation at the Eau Claire hospital Monday.

 

Miss Blanche Crocker goes to Brodhead X-mas for a visit with friends there.

 

Miss Bessie Tifft entertained a large company of girlfriends Friday night, who uniting with her gave Miss Ruby Garvin a miscellaneous shower of useful and ornamental articles in anticipation of Miss Garvin’s marriage Monday evening.
