Kotlowski, Phyllis L. (11 December 1920 - 24 August 2011)

 

Phyllis L. Kotlowski, age 90, of Adams, Wisconsin, died on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

 

Memorial services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin.  Pastor Karyn Bodenschatz officiated.  Friends called at Roseberry’s Funeral Home on Sunday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

 

Phyllis was born on December 11, 1920 in Roosevelt Township, Illinois to Adolph and Celia (Olyniezak) Burzynski. She was married to the late Walter J. Kotlowski in Illinois in 1937.  They7 lived in Bellinger, WI from 1949 to 1954 where they farmed. They moved to Adams in 1954.  Phyllis and Walter owned and operated, with partners Loretta and Louie Kotlowski, the IGA store for many years.  They later owned Ken’s clothing.

 

Phyllis enjoyed reading, watching television, and sewing.

 

Phyllis was preceded in death by: her parents, Adolph and Celia (Olyniezak) Burzynski; husband, Walter J. Kotlowski; son, Kenneth Kotlowski; and brothers: Frank, Florian and Edward Burzynski.

 

Survivors include: three sons: Jerry (Marcie) Kotlowski of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin, Donny (Pat) Kotlowski of Madison, Wisconsin; and Walter T. (Becky) Kotlowski of Adams, Wisconsin; two sisters: Eleanor Winger of Green Bay, Wisconsin and Loretta (Walter) Smith of Sun City, AZ. She is further survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
