W. E. Benedict transacted business at Neillsville Saturday.

Fay Livingston and Ted O’Brien are busy quarrying rock from a mound near Cawley creek.  Mr. Livingston is making preparations to build in the near future.

Mrs. Art Flint and daughter spent Saturday at Neillsville.

Walters Bros. have erected two new chimneys on the Maxin farm for M. M. Dahl.

Fred Heibel of Christie was seen driving through our streets one day last week.

Art Judd who has been under the doctor’s care for some time is recovering very slowly.

Morris Turner took in the sights at Neillsville Monday.

Jay Davis arose Sunday morning and to his surprise found a Maltese Tom Cat in his milk can.  Mr. Davis thinking he would settle this question, jerked the cat out by its tail, and being a little excited from tending the switch board the day before lost control of the animal and it soon escaped into the woods.  He thinks the cat must have had a sufficiency as it has not returned since.

Guy Smith took a load of calves to Loyal Monday.

Melvin Lawrence just finished a fine hen coop for E. Grabe last week.

Wellie Beecher who has been engaged in cheese making for J. B. Daughhetee the last couple of years, has resigned and moved to Christie where he will continue making cheese for Heibel & Gullick.

Forest Rowe made his usual call Sunday evening.

Rella Benedict called at John Palmer’s Sunday.

Mrs. E. M. Florence and daughter Mrs. Abe Vandeberg visited Grandma Bassett Monday.

Abe Vandeberg and Bert Gullick were Loyal callers the first of the week.
