Chili (28 October 1910)
Harry Eide received and sold another car of prairie hay. This is not timothy, but will answer the purpose.
Tuesday night all the street lamps burned until early morning. Some people feel a little creepy yet about that gang that is supposed to be terrorizing the country. Of course, at this time of the year, it is always good to be on the safe side. A person can never tell when he will find his place of business robbed in the morning when he comes to open the shop.
Now is the time to get your heaters and ranges; go to Degener, he sells the best ones.
Miss Lillian Yorkston is helping Mrs. Degener at present with her sewing.
Tom Gibson is selling second hand sewing machines at present as a side line. When he wants a machine ready to go out he calls on the neighbor ladies to examine the machine and look it over. Tom knows how to arrange things.
Chas Lindow is building a barn near his house. He leased some ground from the R. R. Co.
Bertha Bealer called on friends in the village Tuesday.
Georgia Bailey is suffering with an attack of appendicitis. Elmer Bailey, her father lost a valuable spring pig that would soon have been ready for the pork barrel.
