East Lynn (25 November 1910)

Old Bill, a valuable horse belonging to Adolph Pusheck shuffled off his mortal coil last Friday. The cause of his sudden departure is unknown.

Keep your pork under lock and key and guard it as you would diamonds, for the porkers are so full of energy and ambition that they will sometimes walk away after they have been hung on the peg.

Louis Knoop’s brother of Neillsville is helping him do some under-brushing this fall.

A faithful dog of Emil Lindow took sick last week and had to be disposed of.  It required three charges of buck shot and one swipe with a crowbar to put him out of business.

Miss Lydia Pusheck took in the Busy Bee Club at Ferd Helm’s last Saturday.

Reinhold Guk butchered some hogs for Emil Lindow Monday.

Fred Kleinschmidt and family spent Sunday at Peter Jensen’s.

Fred Grade retuned from Iowa Monday where he attended his mother’s funeral.

We wish to correct an error in one of our last week’s items; the baby born to Mr. and Mrs. James Quicker was not a daughter, but a son.  And as it was not done intentionally and we are all liable to make mistakes, we sincerely hope that the error be overlooked.
