Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Chubb very royally entertained a party of selected friends for supper and evening of entertainment and music during the week between Xmas and New Year’s. The writer did not learn the day.

Oscar Sternitzky seems to have a failing for visiting at Nevins. Maybe he has a sweetheart there, but that would be telling. The roads have been somewhat blockaded, but Oscar nothing daunted, sets out afoot and make his usual trips. Arriving home from the last one he seemed to be considerably agitated about something, and is friends are wondering whether it was just the trip and the hard travel experienced or whether he met some wild animal on the road. At any rate his face "Blanched" upon his return here.
