Woelffer, Charlotte #3 (24 JUN 1905 - 19 JAN 1906)
The spirit of the little Charlotte Woelffer left its beautiful earthly tenement early last Friday morning and soared aloft to join the heavenly throng and be a shining light among the glorified ones. This precious little flower born of love, blossomed into life the 24th of last June, since which time she had been the joy and pride of the lives of her devoted parents, Victor C. and Nina Woelffer. The little one had been somewhat ill for days through teething, having the five teeth showing white through the gums, and which promised to be through within a few days, and in consequence the pain incident thereto was not so easily born. Her parents had been up with her until 3 o’clock Friday morning, when she passed into sleep and her mama put her into her little bed where she appeared to be resting very comfortably and they sought their bed and sleep, awakening four hours later to learn that the soul of Charlotte, the blessed babe, had quietly slipped away into the other world, leaving her beautiful earthly tabernacle quite undisturbed in the dainty little bed where her mama had place it. The funeral was held from the home at 2 o’clock Sunday p.m., Rev. Rice officiating, with interment in the city cemetery. The profusion of beautiful floral tributes and the large concourse of friends in attendance at the funeral were mute testimonials of sympathy for the bereaved family.
