Hattie earned her GED and received a nursing assistant certificate when she was in her 50’s.  She stopped farming and worked at the Clark County Health Care Center. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and friends, and made religion a focal point in her life. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and shortly afterwards stopped working at Clark County Health Care Center.  She lived in her home until an ill ness and advancing Alzheimer’s forced her to live the rest of her life in a nursing home.

She is survived by children: John, Mary, Kathy, Trisa, David ‘Buck’, Sue, Diane, Paul, Joe, Rich, Dan, Carolle and Mike.  She dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Hattie is also survived by sisters: Mary and Carol; and brothers: Frank and Ted.

Family members who died before her were husband, LaVerne; son, Gerry; sister, Lillian; and a brother Jim.
