Cota, Pvt. Scott R. (Military - 2011)
Scott R. Cota of Thorp graduated from Army Basic Combat Training at Ft. Benning, Georgia on September 1, 2011. Pvt. Cota has joined the Wisconsin National Guard under the Split Option Program. The program gives young men and women the opportunity to enlist and attend Basic Training between their junior and senior year of high school.
Pvt. Cota will continue his military training by attending drill once a month in Merrill, WI, and will have advanced training next summer in the specialty of his choice.
He is the son of Jennifer Hensel of Thorp, and Christopher Cota of Gilman.
