Miss Gladys Wage spent Wednesday with friends at Neillsville,

Floyd Winn has been ill since with Quinsy since Christmas.

Arthur Neinas still continues to suffer with abscess in his ear.

Paul Goebel transacted business at Neillsville Tuesday.

Miss Laura Neitzel is visiting Miss Vivian Ure at Neillsville since Tuesday.

Miss Tillie Strey of Minneapolis came down Sunday on a ten days visit to her sister Mrs. John Dietrich.

Minnie, Emma and Rollie Dietrich visited Irving Kurth at Neillsville Monday.

New York barrel apples, Spies and Baldwins at $4.50 a barrel at Witte’s

Miss Ethel Dow of Chili was here Tuesday visiting Miss Gladys Wage.

Miss Agnes Paulson is visiting her aunt Mrs. D. S. Rausch here since Wednesday.

Miss Lila Cattanach of Nasonville visited town relatives late last week.

Little Harold Riedel is suffering with pneumonia since Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Tompkins entertained a house full of friends at Christmas dinner, Sunday.

Mrs. Ed Prange is reported as being very ill.

Miss Ella Nickel of Washburn left for London Monday to spend some time with relatives.

Morgan James and Hugh Jones of Waukesha are visiting at L. G. Morris since Wednesday.

Mrs. Walter Moldenhauer visited friends at Marshfield Monday.

Mrs. Henry Carlton of Neillsville spent several days of this week at Kearny Davis’.

The Mesdames I. W. Morris and A. J. Knorr visited Mrs. Geo. Ure at Neillsville, Wednesday.

Miss Bertha Winn came home from Two Rivers Saturday on a week’s vacation and visit under the parental roof.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Dennis and son Fred came home from Sycamore, Ill. Thursday morning.

Leland Davis and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Chapel of Marshfield spent Christmas here at the Geo Hart home.

Ed Hubing came home last week Thursday from Glendive, Montana, suffering with an internal abscess.

Mrs. J. Ewing and daughter Agnes of Waukesha arrived here Wed. on a visit to her sister Mrs. E. R. Wonser.

Jennie Southmyde of Wilson City, Bahama Islands, who is attending school at Menominee, Wis., came here Saturday to spend a week with her aunt Mrs. I. W. Morris.

Mr. and Mrs. Julius Lautenbach and Mrs. Herman Schlinsog visited relatives at Marshfield early this week.

Mrs. Anna Hohenstein of Washburn, who has been very ill with an attack of appendicitis, is slowly recovering.

Ernest McIntyre is taking a weeks vacation from his duties in the H. C. Witte store and enjoying a few musical nights with the Neillsville Orchestra.

Henry and Ernest Sternitzky and John Ure spent several days early this week with Geo. Ure at Neillsville in the interests of the Lynn Fire and Cyclone Insurance Companies.

Dan Rausch has been enjoying a visit from his old friend Rheumatism from Hellville, the past two weeks.  He hopes to get rid of him soon.

Al Nonhof and son Glen were at Marshfield Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Stallman of Oshkosh visited at Peter Stallman’s here on Wednesday.

Lynn Knorr came up from Madison Saturday for the holiday vacation.

Mr. and Mrs. Chas Beeckler entertained a number of friends at cards Wednesday evening.

Professor Wells returned from Stevens Point Tuesday that he might drill the pupils who are practicing for the school’s play which it to come off in the near future.

Marion Hort of Marshfield and Hilda Kurth of Neillsville are visiting Anita Kuechenmeister since Tuesday.

Dan Wallace after a couple days visit with relatives here returned to Alma Center on Monday.

John Mooney who is employed in L. N. Christenson’s mill at Withee spent Christmas with old friends here.

Mrs. Richard Kurth, her sons Hilton and Arthur and her mother Mrs. Scholtz spent Monday at Robert Kurth’s in Neillsville.

Master Irving Kurth came home from the Eau Claire hospital on Saturday and made an over Monday visit at his home in Neillsville.

The Beal Orchestra of Minneapolis will give a big dance at the Granton Opera House Thursday eve, Jan. 12.  Dancers and lovers of good music should bear this date in mind. 

Miss Gladys Wage came home from Grand Rapids on Saturday. She has resigned her position as teacher there and is now planning to enter the Stevens Point Normal as a student, after the holidays.

Mrs. Hale Davis has so far recovered from her recent serious illness as to have enjoyed Christmas dinner with her family and a goodly number of her relatives at her home, on Sunday.

Doc Wonser and Dan Rausch with their families helped the Editor knock the stuffing out of a goose on Christmas Day. It was the gift of an honest politician and greatly appreciated by the editorial household.  Thanks, August

Myron Osgood met with a very serious accident while cutting wood on the W. J. Davis farm north of here.  He was falling a tree when a flying limb struck him in the right eye, tearing it out completely.  We hope the sight of the other eye will not be affected.  The accident occurred Wednesday morning.  He has the sympathy of all his friends.

Will Neinas, accompanied by her (his) daughter Miss Emma came home from Chicago in time to spend Christmas with his family.

Albert Davis and little daughters after a ten days visit here returned home to Spring Valley Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Downer accompanied them as far as Merrillan.

Mr. A. J. Knorr expects to leave for Ridgeville, Indiana next Monday as a member of a committee which goes there every year to inspect the property of the Wisconsin Oil and Gas Company of which he is a stockholder.
