Mr. Reuth has several teams hauling lumber to Romadka to ship.  He brought a fine hourse up with him when he came this time, to be used on the farm.

The Alpha Batta Gamma Society will meet Friday evening this week at the Garbush schoolhouse.  The subject for debate is, resolved: "The cow is more useful to mankind than the horse."  Although this is the first debate, it should be interesting, as the subject is good.  The affirmative will be defended by Calvert, Scoles and Eddie Graves, the negative by Wm. Carpenter and Chester Dubes.  Everybody is welcome.

Mrs. Sherman Davis is reported very ill with la grippe.  Dr. Schwarz is attending her.

Norm Kidd has his teams busy hauling material for a large new basement barn to be built in the spring.

H.A. Knoll has returned home from North Crandon, where he has been the past 3 months employed by the Hiles Lumber Co.  He reports the snow 3 ½ feet deep on the level.

Mrs. Sam Fields is reported very ill with la grippe and other chronic troubles.

There is some talk of part of our telephone line changing hands, which will put us on the line straight to Granton.  That will be a great improvement.

Our pedagogue, Mr. Earl Brooks of Lynn, make a trip home every week to see his parents.

Mrs. Andrew Heath is attending her daughter, Mrs. S. Davis, who is a little better at this writing.

Will Carpenter is hauling wood to Granton.

Miss Winnie Kidd entertained a few of her school friends one evening last week.

Ed Stevens of Veefkind was a business caller Wednesday.
