Foemmel’s Corners (6 January 1911)
Mr. Will Glover came Friday p.m. and stayed until Saturday a.m. with his father.
Amelia Krause who is staying at Fred Riedel’s is home a few days doing some sewing.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Frei gave a watch party to a number of their friends Saturday evening. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. John Speiser, Wm. Storm, August Hammler, Ed Ackerman and family and Mrs. Hefty and children.
Al Nonhof and family spent New Years with E. R. Wonser’s.
Mrs. J. Ewing and daughter of Waukesha visited at the Al Nonhof home Tuesday.
Fred Foemmel Jr. made cheese during Mr. Glover’s absence at
home.
Several from here attended the Fire Insurance Co.’s meeting Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Truman Davis entertained twenty-nine relatives at a New Year’s dinner last Sunday.
Mr. Freeman Dankemyer Sundayed at G. Krause’s
John Hefty and family, Mrs. G. Krause and son Fred took New Year’s dinner at Schmucki’s.
Emil Krause is working in Granton this week.
There is to be a chicken pie sociable at Mrs. Heyder’s Saturday evening for the benefit of the Methodist minister.
Mrs. Geo Frei is quite sick with la grippe.
