Mr. and Mrs. Home Downer were Neillsville visitors on Monday.
Robert Keller transacted business at the county seat early this week.
Forest King came from Norway, Mich., last Friday.
Miss Dora Stallman went to Chili last week Thursday.
Neal Taplin, a traveling salesman, transacted business here on Tuesday.
Dr. G.E. Curtis was a professional visitor here on Tuesday.
Wm. Poate and Geo. Lipper were out here Tuesday.
Miss Lulu Beecher went to Spencer Monday for a day’s visit with Mrs. F.A. Soles.
Chas. Babcock and Peter Cramer brought in some stock for shipment last Friday.
Mrs. Langdon Nichols returned from a 10 day visit at Embarrass on Monday.
Miss Hope Marsh came home from Marshfield Saturday and remained until Monday morning.
Gardner McLaughlin is making preparation to move back onto his farm sometime this month.
E.A. Beeckler went to Glidden Monday to visit with his sons who are in camp there.
Mrs. Fred Davis and baby Caroline called on town friends last Friday. The little one having quite recovered from her recent illness.
Mrs. C.D. Stockwell and daughter Bernice were over from Marshfield late last week on a visit to town relatives.
R.C. beecher has accepted a position in the Ross Paulson Creamery here and expects to move his family into town next week.
Whiston Davis left Tuesday for Minnesota points where he will make extended visits before elaving for his home in Dakota.
Mrs. Clarence Chubb and baby took the train here Monday evening for Neillsville, going there in response to news of the serious illness of her father Mr. Gaden.
Forest King and Herman Schoengarth, the Misses Hope Mash and Callie Downer drove over to Lindsey Sunday and enjoyed supper at the Lindsey restaurant.
Chas. Kapka and Lester Woodward, two telephone linemen, put in the day Monday and Tuesday with work here. Thos. Burdick is on the line since yesterday.
The young people enjoyed a delightful impromptu dance here in the opera house Sat. night. Miss Neitzel or Hope Marsh at the organ and Herm Schoengarth with a violin, furnished the music.
Mrs. Dan Rausch and son Wallie went to Marshfield last week Thursday and remained over Sunday, the guest of relatives. Dan joined them there Saturday and returned home with them the first of the week.
Ed Graves bought a team of horses from R.C. Beecher last week.
Oscar Kuechenmeister and Julius Drescher, two Jack Creekers, were in town last week.
Miss Bessie Wright, who teaches at Withee, spent Friday and Saturday last week with her parents here.
Leland Page came home from Hayward last Friday and remained until Monday morning.
The maple sugar season is about to open and great preparations are being made hereabouts for it.
Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Davis and children spent Sunday with Neillsville relatives.
Jeweler Smith and Loren Snyder spent Sunday with their respective parents at Neillsville.
One of the Wierschulke boy got hurt in the Moldenhauer mill Monday.
Henry Winters bough a handsome bay mare of E.R. Wonser early this week.
Mrs. Parker, who has been visiting at Geo. A. Ure’s returned to her home at Neillsville Monday morning.
Mrs. Vet Marsh went to Dexterville this Friday morning to attend the wedding of a cousin.
Mrs. Ann Nichols of Black River Falls arrived here Tuesday on an extended visit with friends.
The Circle ladies served a six o’clock supper in the Union church building Wednesday evening.
Mrs. C.E. Beeckler spent much of this and last week at Neillsville engaged with canvassing the city for orders for toilet soaps, creams, etc.
L.A. marsh, agent for the Allen & Hart Land Co. of Winsor, Mo., expects to leave next Tuesday for Indian Territory with a party of land seekers and prospective purchaser.
Forest King, Hazel Downer, Albert Paulson, Ora Marsh, Herman Ketel, Rella Osgood, Dana nd Katie Donahue and Alma Grasser participated in the wedding dance at Nasonville Tuesday night.
Mike Grasser went to Sheboygan Monday to attend the funeral of his late uncle there on Tuesday, since which time he has been visiting relatives and friends, expecting to return home early next week.
Last week Thursday Neillsville was canvassed for 12 pounds of a certain kind of nails, but without success. Rausch & Page of this place were then called up and promptly place the order. Use Granton for hardware every time.
Frant Osgood found a twenty dollar gold piece int eh shape of a wolf, which he secured early this week off the Thode Davis farm.
As John Wright, carrier No. 2, was passing through Nasonville on his route last Saturday, he met Rev. Pohlman’s horse hitched to a cutter, frightened and running away. It appeared to be making straight at him and to save his life he struck the oncoming animal with his whip, causing him to turn out some, but the two cutters came together and were bull smashed, while the two horses were almost stripped of their harnesses.
