Judge O’Neill went to Eau Claire Monday to open court.

 

Mrs. Geo. Van Herret and Lulu Thompson of Black River Falls spent Sunday with E.E. Crocker and family.

 

Mrs. Oscar Fricke is able to be out again after a short illness.

 

The St. Patrick’s sociable given by the W.R.C. was a success both financially and socially.

 

Home Rand and brother Harry of Greenwood spent Sunday with Oscar Fricke and wife.

 

F.W. Draper left Wednesday for Minneapolis to attend a convention.

 

Clarence Klopf, Lulu Thompson, Frank and Blanche Crocker drove to Loyal Sunday and spent the day with E.N. Mick and wife.

 

Dr. J.M. Conroy is expected here this week to take up his practice with Dr. C. Bachman.

 

Eva McMillan and friend of Menomonie are here for a week’s vacation.

 

James Phillips moved this week into the Canfield residence on Clay Street.

 

A divorce was granted Sarah J. Garvin and William Garvin, old residents of York.  They were married 56 years and lived as husband and wife.

 

Chris Brick of Greenwood was in Neillsville Monday.  While at the courthouse he was either looking for best girl or a marriage license.

 

Wm. J. Erwood left Monday after holding several spiritualistic meetings.

 

Hon. W.S. Irvin was here calling on friends last Tuesday.

 

Mrs. Geo. Garfield and daughter left for Minneapolis Monday for a short visit with her mother.

 

Florence Lowe, Gertrude Wolff, Arthur Flynn and Geo. Wolff drove to Granton Sunday.

 

The first meeting of the Neillsville Literary Society was held in the high school Monday evening.  A fine program was rendered and plans made for future meetings.

 

James Owen is alarmingly ill with cancer of the stomach at his mother’s home here in the city.
