Kenneth Creige has been a victim of the grip all
week, and a pretty sick boy.
Albert Paulson bought the 160
acre farm of his mother’s, Tuesday.
Miss Sadie Crowley
after spending her vacation at her home in Thorp returned to her
school duties at Shortville on Monday.
Miss Mary Grasser attended the Military ball at Neillsville
Monday night with Mr. Leinwander of Marshfield.
Dan and Mike Hughes Jr. went to Rochester,
Minn., early this week where Mike underwent an operation for
chronic appendicitis.
Earl Fraser came over from Chili
and made an over Sunday visit at his brother
George’s.
Lynn Knorr and his
sister Miss Myrtle left for Madison Tuesday. Lynn is
attending the state university and Miss Myrtle is studying
music.
Mrs. Fred Grassman entertained the Ladies Aid of Rev.
Reiff’s parish last week Wednesday.
The Annual meeting of the Lynn Telephone Company
will be held here at the Beaver hall Sat., January 20, at 1 p.
m.
L. A. and Vet Marsh went to
Marshfield last Monday to help their brother Joe celebrate his
60th birthday.
Mrs. Vic Stratton
of Black River Falls who had been on a visit at Medford stopped off
here Sat. evening on her way home, for a several days visit at Fred
Converse’s.
Lydia Neinas and Roy Hart went to Marshfield last week Tuesday
to visit their respective relatives. Roy came home next day,
but Miss Lydia remained until Sat. evening.
Mrs. Mabel Welsh after a weeks visit at her home
in Spokeville returned to the Geo. Hart home last
Saturday.
Chris Paulson and Mr. and Mrs.
Albert Paulson spent Tuesday here with relatives and their mother
Mrs. Hans Paulson after a 10 days visit here and at Neillsville
went home with them.
Those who are
wishing to pay their subscription with wood are requested to bring
same now. We need it badly. Deliver at the
office.
W.
D. Rose was at Chili on business yesterday.
Mrs. Tilda Lapp came over from Neillsville Wed.
to assist at the Royal Neighbors installation.
Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Ziemendorf of
Grand Rapids came up on Christmas and visited at Wm.
Schoengarth’s until Wednesday.
Albert Fenske of
Chili was over on Wednesday to consult his physician.
Mr.
and Mrs. Ray Campbell spent Wednesday afternoon at
Marshfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sternitzky and two little
sons after a weeks visit at Henry Sternitzky’s returned to
Mosinee on Wednes.
Lee Morris celebrated his
9th birthday Wednesday with a party which all his
boy chums attended and brought him presents. All had a good
time.
Mrs. A. Montgomery
came home from her visit at Plymouth, Monday evening.

A. Reichert of Chili spent New Years here at his mother’s
home.
C. A. Guth and family are since yesterday
occupying rooms in the August Schmoll home, they having
vacated their late home to the new owner who with his family took
possession yesterday.
On account of room in my cellar I
offer good white potatoes at 50¢ a bushel. They are
worth more. Get your supply now at Witte’s Cash
Store.
Ernest Riedel
spent Sunday and took new years dinner with his mother and returned
to Marshfield, Monday.
The Misses Vera and Pearl Beeckler, Ethel Osgood, Martha Kempin and Mrs. Mabel Stevens visited Chili friends and enjoyed the New Years dance there.
Miss Nygaard of Oshkosh after a weeks visit at
Henry Sternitzky’s left for home Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cattanach and
children went to Chili Tuesday.
Don’t fail
to see Prof. Horn’s dog and monkey circus at the opera house
Thursday and Friday nights of this week. You will also enjoy
the Great Whitney, magician who is with this show.
I
will operate my saw mill next week at my home place. -Walter

Mr. and Mrs. Dave Garbisch celebrated their
respective birthdays on New Years night. A house full of
their friends had a good time.
Mr. and Mrs. McCredden and son of
Jackson Co. spent Tuesday here with her brother Dr.
Rath.
The Kemmeter mill whistle is heard three times daily since Wed. when they began this season’s run with a full crew.
