The concert in the M. E. church Wednesday
evening was fine, altho there was not a very large crowd out on
account of the cold weather. It was enjoyed by all
present. We failed to learn how much was taken
in.
Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Rowe and
children spent New Years with Mrs. S. Mortimer.
Dan Timerson sawed
wood for Wm. Vande Berg Friday.
A
few of the young folks spent New Years evening at the home of Pearl
and Merton Davis. The evening was spent in playing various
games and all report a good time.
John Vande Berg delivered a load of hogs to
Neillsville Monday.
Mrs. Lois Vande Berg, Mrs. Lillie
Vande Berg, Mrs. Jennie Fulwiler and Miss Grace Campbell spent
Wednesday afternoon at Ollie Shafer’s on Royal Neighbor
business.
The Woodmen and
Royal Neighbors will hold open installation Thursday evening, Jan.
11 at the Woodman hall.
Tax
paying time has come again.
We are having a spell of cold weather which
lowered the thermometer to 25 below zero.
Wm. Rowe made a trip to Loyal
Saturday.
Wm. Lawrence
returned to Minnesota Wednesday after spending the holidays at
home.
There was a misprint in the last issue. It should have
read Mrs. Jennie Fulwiler as teacher of class No. 4 in place of
Mrs. Turner.
Forest Rowe ground feed for Julius Voigt Monday
afternoon.
Mrs. Jessie Vande Berg spent the past week at Veefkind with her mother Mrs. Brown.
