It’s a poor Thomas cat that don’t go out mousing once in a while.  A quite a stranger, eh what?  Evidently you had an introduction to him in old lady Ekert’s barn.  Du bist wie die Katzen, vorne lecken and hinten kratzen.

W. R. Huppe made a business trip to Fond du Lac and other points last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Wellie Davis spent Christmas at Chas. Kempin’s.

Gordon Davis and family spent Christmas at George Brown’s.

Seth Martin of Somner, Wash., is still alive.  Reports had it that he was killed.  It is said that he is city marshall of the above mentioned place and is getting a salary of $80 per month.  Seth used to live in Chili and was the biggest man in that town.  He used to be something like an old horse, he interfered, but with nobody’s business only his own.  He was a good fellow while in our midst and  his company was well appreciated by all whom he came in contact with.  Wish you good luck Seth, but after I am dead I don’t want to go the same way you do.
