Greene, Russell (5 April 1892 - 29 December 1962)

Funeral services were held Wednesday for Russell Greene, 70, of Rt. 1, Chili, who died December 29, 1962.  The Rev. L. L. McCormick officiated at services held from the United Brethren Church in Chili. Burial was made in the Yolo Cemetery.

Russell Greene was born April 5, 1892, in Marengo, Ill., and on January 29, 10917, He was married to the former Elma Hakes in Woodstock, Ill.  They had lived in the Town of Fremont since 1927.

He is survived by his wife and the following children: Charles of La Crosse, James of Dodgeville, Wayne and Gerald of Chili, Mrs. Richard (Elaine) Welter of Maple Park, Ill., Mrs. Vernon (Mary) Rothwell of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Frank (Jeane) Nienow of Rothschild, Mrs. Harry (Helen) Lingos of Holden, Mass., and Miss Gladys Greene of Studio City, Cal.

Other survivors include 14 grandchildren; a brother Forrest Greene of Chili; and a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Coonrad of Riverside, Cal.
