East Lynn (3 February 1911)

R. Guk and Fred Zuehlke took veal calves to Granton Tuesday morning.

A large number of young folks gathered at the home of A. Lindow and helped their son Raymond celebrate his birthday, Sunday.  To say that they had a good time would be putting it mild.

Mr. Peter Jensen of Lynn called on his daughter Mrs. F. Kleinschmidt Monday.

The society at Wm. Neinas of Sauerkraut City last Friday was attended by a large crowd. The collection amounted to over 6 dollars.

Henry Retzlaff is reported quite ill at present.

A Pusheck still mourns the loss of his fine evergreen tree that someone cut and most likely used for a Christmas tree.  It is almost the limit when a man can’t plant a few ornamental trees without someone logging them off, as that is something that cannot very well be kept under lock and key.

H. Dietrich is enjoying a visit from his brother Fred of Boise, Iowa.

Fred Kleinschmidt took in the sights at Lynn Tuesday.

Chas. Bladl and family attended church at Chili Wednesday.

Mr. A. Regner of Fremont was in this vicinity Tuesday looking for some milch cows with the intention of purchasing a few.

J. Lindow and J. Henning are hauling sand from the southern part of the township to be used for a concrete silo that they intend to erect the coming summer.
