Stanek, Helen (20 OCT 1894 - 24 DEC 1957)

 

The funeral for Mrs. Helen Stanek, 63, Athens, with relatives at Marshfield, Owen, Gilman and Stanley was held at Athens Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church there.  Burial took place in Calvary Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Stanek, who was born Helen Wrzosek Oct 20, 1894, in Buffalo, N.Y., died at home last Tuesday afternoon after being in ill health for four years.

 

The deceased was married in Lublin Aug. 7, 1917, to Frank Stanek, and the couple farmed 23 years near Lublin and 10 years near Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), moving in 1950 to a farm in the town of Johnson near Athens.

 

Survivors include the widower; three daughters and a son, Mrs. Robert Doege, Marshfield, Mrs. John Rauha, Owen, and Miss Edna and John Stanek, at home; two brothers, Stanley Wrzosek, Gilman, and Joseph Wrzosek, Stanley; and a sister, Miss Frances Wrzosek, Lublin.
