Fricke, Oscar (? - 14 February 1911)

This community was greatly shocked last Tuesday when the report reached here that Register of Deeds Oscar Fricke had died last Tuesday morning at 1 o’clock. Mr. Fricke was suddenly and severely taken ill at his office last week and his physician found it necessary to order his removal to the Eau Claire hospital. An operation was performed the next day, revealing the fact that he was suffering with appendicitis and gall stones. Mr. Fricke served the county as Register of Deeds faithfully for seven years, entering upon his last term last month.  He was one of the most conscientious, accommodating and beloved officials that was ever on the county pay roll.   He leaves a wife and one daughter who have the deepest sympathy of all. The funeral will be held at Greenwood.
